With that, often comes the need to carry multiple ladders to various locations, then having to switch between ladders (often in tight spaces) as required. Not to mention having to climb up and down the ladder to get the tools you need. That takes additional time and your time on the jobsite is valuable.

Innovative integrated slides allow the quickest, most convenient, and most compact ladder position conversion so you can tackle tight-access areas with ease.

Available in 6 step, 7 step and 8 step, the Aluminium Step Extension is ideal for the tradesperson or contractors requiring a Step Extension ladder that is highly versatile and easily converts from a stepladder to an extension ladder, this ladder offers the benefits of strength, stability and durability, as well as being light weight.

So how exactly do all these features work together to create easy conversion? When the ladder is in the stepladder function, it uses a pair of side arms to keep it in the A frame configuration. This configuration is ideal for tasks like working between internal wall framing and DIY projects inside the home. You can then change the ladder to an extension ladder configuration by closing the ladder and sliding the back leg up. The back leg can be extended in one rung increments and is held in place by hooks on the front frame. This eliminates the need for space to swing out on the back legs when converting. Access to attics, roofs and other compact spaces is made easy.

To use as a leaning ladder, simply return the ladder to a closed position. The factory fitted v rung ensures safety even against rounded surfaces like poles and trees. Work directly in front of your task while minimising the risk of overreaching.

Being closely positioned for work tasks that require access through studwork is made much easier with the Step Extension range's narrow parallel back legs. These also enable ease of access into roof openings.
